Gujarat on Friday reported 2190 new Covid-19 cases, highest single-day count so far, taking its tally to 2,96,320. The death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 4,479 after 6 more persons succumbed to the infection during the same period. 1422 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases in the state to 2,81,707. The number of active cases crosses 10,000-mark. At present, Gujarat has 10,134 active COVID-19 cases, of which, 83 patients are on ventilator. The first dose of vaccine has been given to 40,89,217 persons and the second dose has been given to 6,25,153 persons. A total of 47,14,370 persons have been vaccinated so far. There has been no case of adverse reaction or side-effects of Covid-19 vaccine in the State so far. The state's recovery rate stood at 95.07 percent, it said.
