Gujarat on Thursday reported 1961 new Covid-19 cases, highest single-day count so far, taking its tally to 2,94,130. The death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 4,473 after 7 more persons succumbed to the infection during the same period. 1405 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases in the state to 2,80,285. The number of active cases crosses 9,000-mark. At present, Gujarat has 9,372 active COVID-19 cases, of which, 81 patients are on ventilator. The first dose of vaccine has been given to 38,64,161 persons and the second dose has been given to 6,21,158 persons. A total of 44,85,319 persons have been vaccinated so far. There has been no case of adverse reaction or side-effects of Covid-19 vaccine in the State so far. The state's recovery rate stood at 95.29 percent, it said.
