Gujarat on Tuesday reported 14,352 new Covid-19 cases, highest single-day count so far, taking its tally to 5,24,725. The death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 6,656 after 170 more persons succumbed to the infection during the same period. 7,803 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases in the state to 3,90,229. At present, Gujarat has 1,27,840 active COVID-19 cases, of which, 418 patients are on ventilator. The first dose of vaccine has been given to 95,11,122 persons and the second dose has been given to 21,11,484 persons. A total of 1,16,22,606 persons have been vaccinated so far. There has been no case of adverse reaction or side-effects of Covid-19 vaccine in the State so far. The state's recovery rate stood at 74.37 percent, it said.
