Gujarat on Saturday reported 14,296 new Covid-19 cases, highest single-day count so far, taking its tally to 4,96,033. The death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 6,328 after 157 more persons succumbed to the infection during the same period. 6,727 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases in the state to 3,74,699. At present, Gujarat has 1,15,006 active COVID-19 cases, of which, 406 patients are on ventilator. The first dose of vaccine has been given to 93,63,159 persons and the second dose has been given to 19,32,370 persons. A total of 1,12,95,536 persons have been vaccinated so far. There has been no case of adverse reaction or side-effects of Covid-19 vaccine in the State so far. The state's recovery rate stood at 75.54 percent, it said.
