The number of coronavirus cases in Gujarat rose to 2559 after 152 more people tested positive for the disease in the state a health department official said. The death toll in the state went up to 105, as Two more patients succumbed to coronavirus, principal secretary (health) Jayanti Ravi said.
Out of the 152 new cases, 91 were reported from Ahmedabad, 30 from Surat, 14 from Vadodara, 3 from Anand, 2 from Gandhinagar and Banaskantha each, 1 from Aravali, Bhavnagar, Board, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Panchmahal and Valsad each.
Out of Two latest deaths, one were reported from Ahmedabad, while one from Surat. Ahmedabad has reported 63 deaths so far and Surat has reported 13 deaths so far.
Out of total 2279 active cases, the condition of 26 patients is serious and they are on ventilator support while 2,249 are stable, Ravi said.
