Supervisory officer of Godhra train burning case former IPS officer JK Bhatt appointed as a member of the state Human Rights Commission. State Minister for Home Pradipsinh Jadeja said that a committee headed by CM Vijay Rupani chose Bhatt.  

Bhatt’s appointment comes after BJP appointed PR Patel as Special Officer on the day when he retaired as registrar general of the Gujarat High Court.

He holds position as special commissioner of Ahmedabad Detection of Crime Branch when he retired. But he in his 26 years of career his name has been involved in various cases among them latest allegation is off ectortion.
