After a remarkable victory in Karnataka, Congress is gearing up for the Madhya Pradesh elections. It seems like the grand old party is trying every trick and tactic to outsmart the saffron party from the state. In order to this, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Monday visited Madhya Pradesh and performed Narmada Pooja. Vadra was accompanied by Congress leader Kamal Nath.
While addressing the public there, Priyanka Gandhi promised to implement the five-guarantee scheme if Congress came into power after the assembly elections in the state. She promised to provide Rs 1500 every month to each woman in the state. Gas cylinder prices will be decreased to Rs 500 from Rs 1000. She further promised to implement the old pension scheme in the state. For farmers, she promised to waive off debt. In addition to this, the Congress government will provide 100 units of electricity free of cost, and the cost will be cut to half within 200 units of consumption.
