The Congress on Thursday announced the names of the party’s national spokesman Shaktisinh Gohil and former Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee chief Bharatsinh Solanki as its Rajya Sabha candidates for two seats from Gujarat.
Solanki’s name was included late in the evening, after reports that the party would nominate former chairman of the Indian Premier League (IPL) Rajeev Shukla from Gujarat drew strong opposition from Solanki’s camp.
