Congress MPs, including Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, have claimed that BJP MPs subjected Congress leader Sonia Gandhi to "outrageous misdemeanour" in Lok Sabha on Thursday. The Congress MPs have sought Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla's intervention to send the matter to Privilege Committee. They claimed a group of MPs surrounded Sonia Gandhi and subjected her to "verbal assault and physical intimidation".
