Sensex ends 70.99 points lower at 40,938.72 while Nifty held on to 12,050 levels. The Nifty 50 index, on the other hand, lost 26 points to 12,060.70 points. In the Sensex pack, TCS was the top gainer (2.7%), followed by HCL Technologies (1.65%) and Tech Mahindra (1.6%). Shares of Reliance Industries weakened 0.75%, while ITC fell almost 2%.
