Benchmark indices ended the session on August 30 on a robust note with Sensex surging 1,564.45 points or 2.70% at 59537.07, and the Nifty jumping 446.40 points or 2.58% at 17759.30. About 2323 shares have advanced, 1007 shares declined, and 123 shares are unchanged. All the sectoral indices ended in the green led by financials, auto, realty and power. The BSE midcap and smallcap indices added over a percent each.
