The Sensex ended 189 points or 0.5 percent lower at 37,452 and the NSE Nifty 50 Index dropped 59 points or 0.5 percent to shut shop at 11,046. Top gainers were HCL TECH, INFY, TECHM, HDFC, TCS, Assianpaint, BHARTIARTL while top losers were RBL Bank Ltd., IDBI Bank Ltd., Jindal Steel, Reliance Infra, HDFC Bank, Axix bank, LT, SunPharma, Kotak Bank, Yes Bank and M&M.

Nifty Private Bank, PSU Bank, Auto and Banking sector gauges also fell between 1.2 and 1.9 percent each. On the other hand, Nifty Realty index was top gainer, up 2.4 percent.
