Sensex closed 139.18 points lower at 59,605.80. Nifty closed 43 points lower at 17,511.30. About 1570 shares advanced, 1776 shares declined, and 152 shares were unchanged. As many as 268 stocks, including Adani Transmission, Adani Total Gas, Biocon, Godrej Properties, Laurus Labs, Macrotech Developers and Zee Entertainment Enterprises, hit their 52-week lows in intraday trade on BSE.
