About 1998 shares have advanced, 940 shares declined, and 163 shares are unchanged. Adani Ports, ITC, TCS, M&M and SBI were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were ICICI Bank, SBI Life Insurance, Hindalco, HDFC Bank and Titan Company. Except Nifty Bank, other sectoral indices ended in the green led by the PSU Bank and Auto. BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices rose 0.9 to 1.2 percent.
