Bajaj Auto, Bajaj Finance, Coal India, Bajaj Finserv and Vedanta were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Wipro, Gail, ONGC, HDFC and TCS. Among sectors, except IT other indices ended in the green. BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices rose 1-2 percent.
