The controversial 4500 MW Diamer-Bhasha Dam planned in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK)’s Gilgit-Baltistan has created national fervour among Pakistanis, as china refused to fund it. Pakistan has been trying to raise funds from World Bank and Asian Development Bank for the project. However it has been unsuccessful in this task. China has refused to fund the dam through China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) without ownership clause according to the report. Thus, Pakistan has reportedly refrained from taking Chinese help for this project because of 'tough conditions'.
