The first case of Delta Plus COVID-19 variant in Chandigarh was detected on Saturday. A 35-year-old man, whose sample tested positive for Delta Plus strain, had reported mild symptoms of the disease in May and has now fully recovered. A total of 50 samples were sent to the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) lab for whole-genome sequencing.
