Bypolls to seven vacant seats of the Rajya Sabha will be held on October 4, the Election Commission (EC) announced on Thursday. According to the EC, two seats from Tamil Nadu and one each from West Bengal, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Puducherry and Maharashtra will go to the polls on October 4. Besides, one vacant Bihar legislative council seat will also go to the polls on October 4. The result will be declared by late evening on October 4.
