The 17-year-old student of Mulund College of Commerce would record lectures by professors, and back home, her mother would assist in explaining the core concepts. The tough part, however, was to practice diagrams for easy understanding of her writer, who would put pen to paper during the exams. Nair, who is suffering from retinitis pigmentosa (a chronic hereditary eye disease characterized by black pigmentation and gradual degeneration of the retina) and has zero vision, had to verbally explain to her writer to draw diagrams for the economics paper.
