At least five BJP candidates and two leaders each from the Shiv Sena and NCP were declared winners in the Maharashtra Legislative Council elections. The winners include BJP candidates Pravin Darekar, Ram Shinde, Shrikant Bharatiya, Uma Khapre and Prasad Lad, NCP's Eknath Khadse and Ramraje Naik Nimbalkar and Shiv Sena's Aamshya Phulji Padvi and Sachin Ahir.
