In a big shock to Telugu Desam Party (TDP), four of its senior members in Rajya Sabha (upper house of parliament) have decided to quit the party and join the Bharatiya Janata Party. Two of them are top industrialists CM Ramesh and YS Chowdary who were targets of numerous raids by income tax and other central government agencies in recent months. The other two are TG Venkatesh and G Rammohan Rao. The dramatic development took place when the TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu was touring Europe along with his family.
