The Election Commission of India on Tuesday ordered the removal of the West Bengal Director General of Police (DGP) Virendra ahead of Assembly polls in the state. "Virendra shouldn't be given any post that directly or indirectly relates to conduct of the election," said EC to the state's Chief Secretary. IPS officer P Nirajnayan has been appointed in his place.
