Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that the four-day 'Tika Utsav' starting April 11 marks the second big war on coronavirus and stressed on the need to maintain personal as well as social hygiene to combat the virus.
"Today on April 11, which is Jyotiba Phule Jayanti, we are starting the 'Tika Utsav'. It will run till Baba Saheb Ambedkar Jayanti (April 14).
This celebration is, in a way, the beginning of another major war against corona. In this, we have to give special emphasis on personal hygiene as well as social hygiene," the Prime Minister said.

He also listed four essential things that the citizens must remember to combat the virus:

1. Each One, Vaccinate One: Help those who are less educated, elderly, who cannot go and get vaccinated themselves.
2. Each One, Treat One: Assist those who have limited same resources or are less aware with Covid treatment.
3. Each One, Save One: Wear a mask and urge others to wear one as well.
4. Micro containment zone: Create micro-containment zone in the area in case someone tests positive.
The Prime Minister said in a country like India with dense population, micro containment zones are an important way to combat the virus.
