Audi India has showcased the e-tron which is going to be launched in our market by the end of the year. The e-tron is Audi’s first fully electric production vehicle and it is available with an SUV body type. The Audi e-tron measures 4901 mm in length, 1935 mm in width and 1629 mm in height.

It is expected to be priced from Rs 1.40 crore (ex-showroom pan India) onwards.
Features:
The vehicle comes with some features like ambient lighting, Audi phone box with wireless charging, MMI Navigation with MMI Touch, adaptive air suspension, panoramic sunroof, surround view camera and Audi smartphone interface. It has a boot capacity of 660-litres which can be expanded to 1725-litres by folding down the rear seat completely.
The top speed of the Audi e-tron is 200 km/hr and it goes from 0-100 km/hr in 6.6 seconds while in boost it does the same sprint in 5.7 seconds. The co-efficient of drag is 0.28 with the standard ORVMs and 0.27 with the virtual mirrors.
There are three types of chargers available for the e-tron. The Level 1 charger is a 120 V unit and it takes about 80 hours to charge the car fully. A Level 2 charger which gets a 240 V unit (home charger) can charge the car fully in 9 hours. There’s a Level 3 150 kW charger too which can do a quick charge from 0-80% in 30 mins.
The Audi e-tron gets Matrix LED headlamps and 20-inch alloy wheels while the Virtual ORVMs are really cool. Basically, the ORVM unit has an in-built camera which projects the rear view on a small screen which is placed on the door pad (both front doors) and the quality of the display is super crisp too.
The cabin of the Audi e-tron is equally stylish and futuristic as the outside. The steering wheel comes with the usual button controls for music/phone and you also get Audi’s Virtual Cockpit. Along with that, there’s a large touchscreen with a B&O sound system and controls for the 4-zone climate control and other functions are also through a separate screen which has been slotted below the infotainment system.
