Former Olympic Track and Field Athlete PT Usha, music composer Ilaiyaraaja, filmmaker Vijayendra Prasad and philanthropist Veerendra Heggade were nominated to Rajya Sabha on Wednesday. PM Narendra Modi took to Twitter to congratulate them. "The remarkable PT Usha Ji is an inspiration for every Indian," he wrote for the athlete. "Glad that he has been nominated," he wrote for Ilaiyaraaja.
