Ten Bharatiya Janata MPs who have won the recently concluded state assembly elections have resigned from their Membership of the Parliament. The decision was taken after the meeting with party chief Jagat Prakash Nadda and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Two party MPs Baba Balaknath and Renuka Singh are yet to resign. They did not come to Parliament today.
These MPs are Narendra Singh Tomar, Prahlad Singh Patel, Rakesh Singh, Uday Pratap and Riti Pathak - from Madhya Pradesh; Arun Sao and Gomati Sai - from Chhattisgarh and Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Diya Kumari and Kirodi Lal Meena - from Rajasthan. Nadda led the delegation of these MPs during the meeting with Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankar, ANI quoted BJP sources.
