One of the three suspects in the gang-rape of a 14-year-old girl in Assam's Dhing died early Saturday after he purportedly jumped into a pond while handcuffed during a scene reconstruction with the police.
According to them, the main accused, Tafazul Islam, who was arrested on Friday, fled from the custody of police and jumped into a pond.
