An arrest warrant has been issued against India fast bowler Mohammed Shami in the domestic violence case filed by his wife Hasin Jahan. According to the report, Shami, who is with the Indian team in the West Indies, has 15 days in which to surrender and apply for bail. Shami’s brother Hasid Ahmed also has been named in the warrant.
Mohammed Shami’s wife Hasin Jahan early last year had accused him of domestic violence. Shami and his brother were booked for domestic violence under IPC Section 498A. Mohammed Shami did not appear before court following which the ACJM gave the order.
