Some bad news for people of Delhi as despite of heavy rain and strong winds in January, the average quality value remained 328, the worse than last year which was 304. The number of severe air quality days in Jan 2019 was seven as compared to four of last year.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board, today the air quality goes down to very poor category with average Air Quality Index reflecting as high as 359 in Anand Vihar area and even the northern parts of the capital.
System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR) even issued the warning that people residing in sensitive area avoid all outdoor physical activities.
