The Andhra Pradesh government on Monday presented the State budget of Rs 2.94 lakh crore for 2024-25. Prominent among outlays, was the outlay for school education, which amounted to Rs 29,909 crore. State finance minister Payyavula Keshav presented the budget.
Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav, while presenting the budget in the state Assembly, revealed a revenue expenditure of Rs 2,35,916.99 crore and a capital expenditure of Rs 32,712.84 crore.
Key allocations include Rs 29,909 crore for school education, Rs 18,421 crore for healthcare and family welfare, and Rs 16,739 crore for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, a portfolio overseen by Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. Additionally, 18,421 crore allotted for healthcare and family welfare in the state budget.
