The Centre on Tuesday said preparatory work for production of America's Novavax COVID-19 vaccine in India has been done by Serum Institute of India and the bridging trial was in the advanced stages here. NITI Aayog's Dr VK Paul said available data on the vaccine showed it was safe and highly effective, adding, "I'm hoping they'll start trials on children."
