Vice President Venkaiah Naidu said that providing quality and affordable healthcare is the shared responsibility of the private and public sector. Speaking at the Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Society in Hyderabad, he emphasised the need for preventive measures to address the burden of genetic diseases. Lack of awareness of genetic diseases, he said, is a reason they aren't diagnosed early.
