AAP's Punjab state unit president and Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann today announced his resignation from the post in a tweet, a day after Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party's national convenor Arvind Kejriwal apologised to former Punjab minister Bikram Singh Majithia for alleging that the latter was involved in drug trade. Mann on Friday tweeted: “I m resigning as a president of AAP Punjab ...but my fight against drug mafia and all kind of corruption in Punjab will continue as an “Aam Aadmi “ of Punjab”. Arvind Kejriwal yesterday apologized to former Punjab Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia who is also brother-in-law of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal for leveling allegations of Majithia’s involvement in drug trade in Punjab.
