Nine people were killed and one sustained injuries after strong flood currents dragged their car into the Dhela river in Uttarakhand's Nainital district. Officials said the water levels in the river had increased due to heavy rains on Friday morning and that it was dark at the time of the accident. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami condoled the deaths.
