Nearly 9.8 lakh posts in central government departments were vacant as of March 1, 2021, Union Minister of State Jitendra Singh informed the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. Of the 40,35,203 sanctioned posts, 30,55,876 were filled, Singh said. "All ministries/departments of...central government have been requested to take action in a mission mode for filling up of vacant posts," he added.
