Maharashtra police have reported 87 new positive cases of the novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours. With an increase in cases, the total number of affected by personnel by Covid-19 in the state police force has mounted to 1,758 on Sunday. "87 police personnel of the state found COVID-19 positive in last 24 hours taking the total number of affected personnel to 1,758," the police department said in a statement. Of the total cases, as many as 18 have died due to the infection, while 673 have recovered so far, it added.
