H.E. Mrs Ruchi Ghanashyam, High Commissioner of India celebrated the 71th Republic Day of India at London’s Guildhall. The event was attended by Government Ministers, excellencies, Lords, Ladies, honorable members of Parliament. Both Indian National Anthem and UK’s National Anthem were played & sung by all the attendees. She said, "India has taken the lead in disaster resilient infrastructure, and sustainable infrastructure and that India recognizes UK’s important role in both these endeavors. She further stated that to totally appreciate India’s achievements, India has to address the backdrop of  persistent attempts to destabilize against India’s economic social Political foundations, and India has been facing increasing challenge of terrorism due to which thousands of innocent Indian lives have been already lost. Government of India remains steadfast in ensuring security and works towards socio economic justice. India shares the values of universal peace and rule of law. UK remains the topmost investment country in India". Several artists groups including Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, London, entertained the guests with traditional and folk dances and the evening ended with scrumptious Indian dinner and networking within the guests.
