At least seven students were killed and a few others injured after the car in which they were travelling veered off the road, hit a divider, and rammed into a goods carrier coming from the opposite direction in Jalukbari area of Guwahati in the wee hours of Monday.
Police said the accident took place around 1 am near the DCP West office in Jalukbari, when a speeding Mahindra Bolero collided with a goods carrier. The Bolero was carrying 10 students of the Assam Engineering College (AEC).
