Gujarat's tally of COVID-19 cases rose to 2,46,513 on Saturday with 741 more persons testing positive for the infection, the state health department said. With the death of 5 more patients, the fatalities increased to 4,314, it said. The state has in all recorded 9,477 active cases of which 62 are on ventilator support. At the same time, 922 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases in the state to 2,32,722, the department said in a release here. The state's recovery rate stood at 94.41 percent, it said. As many as 52,980 tests were conducted for coronavirus in the state in a day at a rate of 815.08 tests per day per million population, the department said.
