Around 4,500 petrol and CNG pumps in Maharashtra have decided to stay shut on Sundays from May 14. They also decided to work on single day shifts, from 9 AM-6 PM, on weekdays from May 15. The petrol pump association cited salary-related issues, selling unleaded fuel at losses, low operating margins as their reasons for the shutdown.
