Delhi Chief Minister on Tuesday said 44 oxygen plants will be installed in the national capital in the next one month. This comes as Delhi grapples with an acute shortage of medical oxygen.He said there is a dearth of tankers and hence 18 tankers are being imported from Bangkok to mitigate the problem.

He said 21 ready-to-use oxygen plants are being imported from France.Eight oxygen plants will be set up by the Centre while 36 will be set up by the Delhi government over the next one month.

Of these, 21 plants coming from France, and 15 plants are from within the country.Kejriwal said, "Oxygen crisis witnessed in Delhi last week has been controlled to an extent, the situation has improved significantly." After days of scrambling for oxygen, hospitals in Delhi on Tuesday said they are in a comparatively better situation in terms of supply and have reopened admissions.
