Thirty-nine posts of chairman and directors are vacant at the IITs and NITs, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan told Lok Sabha on Monday. "Eight posts of chairman at IITs and 21 posts of chairman vacant at NITs. Further, five posts of directors are vacant in both IITs and NITs," he said. Pradhan was responding to a written question in the House.
