At least 38 people, including many women, were killed in an accident in Madhya Pradesh's Sidhi district on Tuesday when a bus carrying around 54 passengers fell into a canal after the driver lost control. Several passengers remained missing after the bus fell off a bridge into a canal near Patna village in Madhya Pradesh's Sidhi district on Tuesday morning. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has taken cognisance of the matter and has spoken to the district collector asking him to quicken rescue and relief operations. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has also announced ex gratia of Rs 5 lakh to the kin of the deceased.
