As many as 35 members including IAS officers from Gujarat that attended the Expo 2020 Dubai, visited the under-construction BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.
Organised by S J Haider and led by Mamta Verma, Hareet Shukla, Rahul Gupta, Neelam Rani and IFS officials from Gujarat visited the construction site to witness installation of the marble pillars central to the Mandir design.
At the site the delegates also participated in the Rivers of Harmony exhibit highlighting the purpose, history and construction of BAPS temple.
Mamta Verma on her visit to the site said, “Stepping on this land makes me feel at home. I come from a humble background and feel connected to the earth. The place evokes energy and I hope I can serve as part of the project. The trip to Dubai would have been incomplete without a visit to the temple site.”
Satyarth Srivastava said the Mandir is a historical landmark in the making and a true example of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the entire world is my
family).
Advocate Khusbu Agrawal said, “To witness the journey of ideation and the execution on the ground is an extraordinary part of the visit.”
