India's Covid-19 situation continues to remain grim. A record single-day rise of around 3.8 lakh cases over the last 24 hours pushed the overall tally to 1,83,76,524 on Thursday. As per Union health ministry data updated on Thursday morning, India reported 3,79,257 new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours, ending Thursday morning, while 2,69,507 people recuperated from the disease. The death toll due to Covid-19, meanwhile, climbed to 2.04 lakh following 3,645 fresh fatalities, the updated data showed. With this, a total of 1,50,86,878 people have recovered in India so far. Active cases in India, meanwhile, stand at 30,84,814 with over 15,00,20,648 vaccinated against the deadly disease.
