Congress leader Hardik Patel has been appointed Working President of Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee with immediate effect following approval from Congress President Sonia Gandhi. The 26-year-old, who had led numerous agitations demanding reservation for Patidar community, had joined the Congress party in 2019. Congress also appointed new DCC Presidents for Anand, Surat and Devbhumi Dwarka.
