Gujarat registered 2252 fresh cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking its tally to 3,03,118 on Monday. The death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 4,500 after 8 more persons succumbed to the infection during the same period. 1731 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases in the state to 2,86,577. The number of active cases crosses 12,000-mark on Monday. At present, Gujarat has 12,041 active COVID-19 cases, of which, 149 patients are on ventilator.  The state's recovery rate stood at 94.54 percent, it said.
