A partially camouflaged test mule of the 2018 Hyundai Santro was recently spotted in India. The older Santro was officially discontinued in India in 2014 and now, Hyundai is gearing up to revive the nameplate with an all-new car. This is the first image of the near-production all-new Hyundai Santro, and it is set to be launched in India next year. Expected to be launched around mid-2018, the all-new Santro is could even be showcased at the Auto Expo 2018. Powertrain wise it's too soon to comment on anything but based on segment trend we expect to see a 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre engine options with transmission duties to be carried out by a 5-Speed Manual Transmission. Hyundai might also consider offering an AMT option, seeing the growing demand for automatic entry-level cars in India, but nothing is confirmed yet.
