Two girls, sisters, were gang-raped in Chhattisgarh’s Raipur while returning from celebrating Raksha Bandhan with one of the victim's fiance. The incident unfolded when a group of ten assailants forcibly blocked their path and carried out the horrific assault.
The man accompanying the two girls was also subjected to severe physical violence. Police registered a case upon receiving the information. Ten men, including the son of a local BJP leader, were arrested.
