In a rare case, two juvenile girls were charged and tried for raping a girl. The girls, both minors, were, however, acquitted because the victim was mentally unstable and could not depose before the POCSO court.
The incident took place in June 2017 at the children’s home for girls located inside the women’s shelter home compound in Odhav.
